We already have a smoking ban in public places. We also have legislation in the works that would ban smoking in private residences that adjoin other buildings (practically every home in San Francisco). Now corner stores might soon be banned from just selling cigarettes. Behold what happens when you give up your right to choose to Big Brother -- a little here, a little there, and before you know it, there's no freedom left.

i really don't have to try again will, because it really does work just fine with me, and others that i have discussed it with.

it is still legal to smoke, just not there. and as far as buying cigarette's at the corner store, it's the same thing as not being able to buy hard liquor in many grocery stores. regulate availability, reduce abuse is the reasoning there.

in my analogy, it is still legal to drive, and to smoke, just not wherever you want. Just because you may want to drive on the sidewalk, doesn't mean you can.

And read it the way I wrote it, where it reasons that IF your habit has been deemed wreckless, it can be regulated by the government. If my driving is still safe then I can drive on crowded city streets. Now if your behavior, like smoking, is deemed wreckless, which is has been, its not legal to do so that way, that time, that place.

It's regulation, and frankly I'd like to see more regulations on smoking because I'm sick and tired of having to navigate my way around chain smokers or even leisurely smokers who have no regard for my health.

So rebutt, but i'll disagree with you because I don't think we get full access to every right. I have the right to own a gun, but not to discharge it wherever I want.
