After five years i'm finally graduating from Tech (yippee)!
-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

I don't see why graduation is ever a big deal...
...you get a handshake from a President who probably doesn't even know who you are and a piece of paper that can't replace two years work experience... but whatever. -------------------- ![]() |

musta been a dropout huh? nope. I just think it is something that is more expected if anything nowadays. Being so common has really taken the *luster* out of graduating/getting degrees. I just don't regard it as a big deal. -------------------- ![]() |

something that only 25% of population does is "expected"? run that math by me one more time... so when have you started trusting statistics enough to make a point with using them?! Maybe "expected" was a bit of a hyperbole... What I'm getting at is that it's a a frequent enough occurrence to render it not a big deal. Take a PhD for example, THEN that's a big deal because of the infrequency that those are handed out. -------------------- ![]() |

so when have you started trusting statistics enough to make a point with using them?! Just using your own numbers against you bud. Forgetting about the topic completely, I was just saying the raw statement that "Something that is done 25% of the time is expected" makes zero sense. Maybe "expected" was a bit of a hyperbole... What I'm getting at is that it's a a frequent enough occurrence to render it not a big deal. Take a PhD for example, THEN that's a big deal because of the infrequency that those are handed out. So if 25% is no big deal, then what % is? 5%? 10%? Methinks your goal (which was achieved) in this thread was to belittle. Congratulations. You just belittled someone who got their college degree and is happy about it. |

I still say congrats to Spivey, and now he is leveled up and going to go for his masters. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!
