This is so very very true. People bitch about immigration, but hire illegal Mexicans to clean their house. The best way to get rid of them... don't hire them.

It's all to show illegal immigrants that they aren't welcome. And yet, most of the time, lawmakers never stop to think about the fact that they wouldn't even have illegal immigrants in their state in the first place if, somewhere along the line, someone in that state hadn't already welcomed them with a job -- a job that, in many cases, other state residents didn't want to do at any price.

you are saying Houston doesnt have a lot of illegal immigrants? are you aware how big houston is in comparison to el paso? if illegals stayed in el paso for very long they'd just be stupid. hence why they come to larger cities that are more hospitable to immigrants

court cases in which a hispanic immigrant is involved with and doesnt speak english SHOULD be held in spanish. if the person cant understand whats going on then there is no fucking cases against them and its infringing on their rights. did that happen in el paso? i didnt think that place was THAT back asswards

In a court case you have a right to legal representation. There is no law stating you must understand your court case. I could be wrong but do not believe there is a law saying the state must provide legal representation which speaks your language. So I don't exactly see what rights are being infringed on.

Actually you DO need to know your court case. It is a HUGE violation of rights to convict someone for something without even informing them what it is, or giving them a fair chance to explain their side of the story.

Imagine if you didn't speak english, were accussed of murder, you had an alibi. How could you DEFEND yourself if no one even spoke your language? Legal representation may not need to speak spanish, but they MUST have at least a translator to help you understand your court case and have an avenue to speak in our justice system.
