I'd paste a link but it seems the vid is getting removed pretty quickly. pretty shitty thing to do, but I'm sure the media will take it and run with it and try to pin every marine alive as some kind of torturer.

He is saying that he does not understand how people, in modern times, do not regard dogs as "people" and think they are somehow a form of life low enough on the totem pole to "not matter". He then contrasts this with the fact that many people used to think of black people the same way as this.

1) he isn't calling a black person a dog, BUT he is comparing this situation (puppy tossing and our lack of respect for the puppy species) to that of the situation black people went through when they were looked down upon. That's kinda.... well, wrong. I shouldn't have to explain that more.
