Enslave the Poor Options

It's really dawned on me that the poor, be they white, black, mexican, eskimo, french, who or whatever ..

Essentially contribute nothing to society.

They're lazy, they have bad attitudes, they aren't motivated, and generally speaking are just leeches on the rest of us who are actually attempting to be productive in life.

The problem with slavery in the past is that it targeted people by race, relegion or other politically incorrect classifications.

I propose that with the last century of what I'll call "Civil Rights Development" in mind, we re-instate slavery however we only enslave those who are jobless.

In essense, we can find everyone a job and then provide them with healthcare, etc, if they are enslaved.

It would be bad business for us to not take care of our slaves, however, the price for us taking care of them will be their slavery.

IE, they will work when, where, and how we tell them to work.

Eventually, once they've worked long and hard enough and are able to support themselves, they will be free of slavery, and than can own their own slaves.

I mean think about it ..

The poor in the ghettos, trailer parks, igloos, whatever... are poor, dejected, on drugs, etc ... they hate where they are, yet somehow, they refuse to leave.

I say we make em leave the shitholes they live in. If they won't get out on their own, we'll make them, enslave them, and force them to better themselves..

All the while contributing to the economy ... we'll have a society of productive people who aren't lazy anymore.

Sound good? I think so.

I don't like the idea of government having control over the minutiae of our daily lives, but that's not what I'm worried about with Democrats. I'm concerned about over-spending and excessive bureaucracy.

I wouldn't be so against socialized medicine, socialized education, etc. if our government didn't have such a piss-poor track record. They have a history of pouring more and more money into things, with little to show for it. Why? Partially because they have carte blanche from the taxpayers. Partially because there's no competition.

That's not to say that the current health system isn't broken. It is, due to lack of competition among insurance providers (the most affordable option is always the one or two plans subsidized by your employer), due to restrictions on pharmaceutical imports, due to the huge amount of marketing dollars that the pharmaceutical companies pump out, etc...

I don't want the government in charge of my healthcare. Tom Coburn's plan is one that appeals to me the most. And reading through it you learn some interesting facts, such as the number of uninsured people in the U.S. is an inflated number. About 1/3 of the 46 million uninsured are covered by Medicaid, around another 1/3 are people who are wealthy and pay for healthcare out of pocket. That leaves 1/3 of 46 million people without any healthcare options.

His plan suggests that you have the right to choose your insurer, your doctor, etc. and it creates the needed markets. Doctors will lower their prices because they are "competing" in a way.

I'm not really sure I understand how this is different than what we have right now.
