The whole "down on one knee" thing, Need opinions Options

So, ladies, what do you all think of the down on one knee thing? I am proposing on Saturday evening at our favorite dancehall in the Austin area and I am thinking of just slipping the ring on her finger while we dance instead of getting down.

It depends. If you are going to get on your knee just to say "will you marry me?" and then get up again, then don't do it, because it seems trite, like you're only doing it because you're "supposed" to. If you say something romantic to her first while you're dancing, a la whisper it in her ear, then maybe at the end of the song the knee would be appropriate.

It all boils down to the kind of girl she is. Some women find it chauvinistic, some find it romantic and would want nothing less. Which of those descriptions does she fall under?

When Jason got on his knee I started crying. But we were somewhere private. Is your girl the kind that wants the outward display where the whole place knows exactly what you're doing at the same time she's figuring it out and all watching you, and more importantly her for her answer?
