I know we have a plethora of these "I'm buying XXXX, what should I get" threads, so here is one more.
My USB ports on my current laptop are fucked up and can't connect anything, which is a problem. I posted about this but other than "uninstall/reinstall drivers" I didn't get much feedback! So anyways, that's one of the reasons why I am looking for a new laptop. Here is what I want: small/light (my present computer is a Dell 700m) fast processor medium hardrive (greater than 160 preferably) but nothing extravagant like a SSD don't really care about video card don't care about aesthetics oh yeah, and a WORKING USB ports cost less than $1500 other than the USB port fucking up now, I've had no problem with a Dell and was looking at their XPS M1330 any other recommendation/reasons why? and I swear, if anyone recommends a MacBook Air.... -------------------- ![]() |

If you're looking at spending ~$1500, I would recommend a Sony. They're usually pretty small and have a lot of features. As Jessica mentioned though, they're a bit pricey.
But I'd say if you're looking at getting something in the $1000-$1500 range and want something small, I'd go with a Sony or a MacBook (if you're not hellbent on getting a non-mac computer). Either that or you could get a MacBook Air. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome!
