I have two cold sores or something on my tongue and they hurt like a motherfucker. What can I put on them to relieve pain? Anbesol maybe?

Canker sores, not cold. Cold sores are from herpes.
But to answer your question, yes anbesol or another oral anesthetic should work well. Edit: Canker sores show up on the cheek interior and tongue and are open sores. Cold sores are usually on the exterior lips, but can also show up on the roof of the mouth and gums. They look like blisters.
