Much steeper odds, more chance of random occurences ruining your bet, but with a higher payout. I could place $100/$1200 payout six team parlays all day and never win. I did some research on parlays. A parlay with an 8/1 payout usually has a 1/14 success rate. I guess its good if you want relatively decent odds if you wanna throw down a bill (higher success rate than any other form of bet with a tenfold payout) but there's too much of an element of chance I threw $880 on the giants not bc I was confident with my pick (even though I was), but to protect my investment of $800 at 7/2 odds in the preseason. I would have either won $2500 or so or lost $888 (pick plus 11% rip). I took the giants to either win $1700 roughly, or lose $8. I lost $8 -------------------- |
