hey, i just took my laptop into best buy for the second time in about 5 weeks. i've got 8 months left on my 3 year service plan.

just a couple of questions

1) if my laptop screws up again, will they really return my purchase price to use toward a new laptop?

2) if i extend the warranty does the lemon policy start over? or carry over?

Thanks

No, they fix it a 3rd time. The 4th time you take it in, it's considered a lemon and they give you store credit for the purchase price. I believe you lose the warranty or you are given store credit for a percentage amount. Like if you took it in 2 more times and got the lemon policy replacement and there was 6 months left, you would get 6 months of the purchase price of the warranty. They give pro-rated amounts back. I worked for Best Buy, and I just recently delt with them for laptop issues myself. I'm pretty sure that's how it all goes. I know Im right on the 4th visit thing though.
