Basically, you keep your inbox count at 0. I started doing this about a month ago and really, really like it. I have a slightly more elaborate folder setup since I need to keep client e-mails separate but the concept is the same. I used to be so anal about my inbox, and I had the 0 system going on with a bunch of folders. Then, my account which is with yahoo started getting madd spam so now I have like 800 emails in my inbox. Whatever. I was just pissed off the day i went to my account and they had deleted everything...including the shit in folders; but 2 days later I already had 200 emails again. Seems they deleted my emails but not the fucking problem. My texas state account is too much to handle as far as folders since just about everything i get is important. I just delete what isnt important.
