ok girls, whats your routine with your hair? how often do you wash it, do you condition, etc? ive heard it bad to wash it every day because some of the natural oils are actually good for you.
i usually wash mine every 2 to 3 days. by the third day i usually wear it up because its lost its shine. then my routine is as follows: 1. wash with shampoo then rinse 2. condition, then shave my legs while the conditioner is still in to give it time to really be absorbed 3. rinse until its ALMOST gone (leaving that little bit in helps keep it moisturized since my hair is so used to houston humidity) 4. towel dry by squeezing, not rubbing 5. comb in some leave-in conditioner spray 6. get dressed and let it air dry about 90% of the way 7. blow dry 8. straightening iron just enough so that some of the volume (i have thick hair) dies down and i dont look like i stuck my finger in an electrical socket i think the key is letting the conditioner be absorbed, as well as letting it mostly naturally dry. the times when im running late or dont have time to wait for it to dry, i always feel less happy with the results because all that heat over the time it takes to completely dry it really fries my hair. i also dont let it dry all the way because it dries neither curly nor straight, kind of this bad wavy bumpy thing (even if i comb it out first). then i wind up ironing it way too much which again makes my hair fried. -------------------- Forget regret

I wash my hair every day (or nearly so... whenever I take a shower). I shampoo, rinse, put conditioner in, let that soak in while I soap up, then rinse my hair & everything else all at once. I don't even own a hair dryer, curling iron, straightening iron, etc.

my routine is different because i have naturally VERY curly hair and i seldom bathe.
i think ill leave out how long it is between showers but needless to say curly hair does not get oily it gets dry. when i shower ill shampoo with tresume naturals the kind thats for getting rid of buildup (since i have several 'styling products' for curly hair). i use a good amount rub it all in ho hum rinse and i proceed to do this a second time. i rinse really well, flip my hair over rinse the underside really well than i put the water to cold and rinse with cold water. this prevents frizz and makes it shiny. then i wash my face and body. rinse. i turn off the water during all these steps. well the waters off so i press my hair to get as much water out as i can in order to condition. conditioner can cling to hair better this water for obvious reasons. i use a super hydrating tresume conditioner. i put some in work it around and comb through my hair with my fingers getting the knots/mats out then i put some more in and dance around for awhile so it gets all soaked up in there. then i rinse really well and the final rinsing is again with cold water. then i jump out dry off, and press my hair to get the extra water out. i dress press my hair again and by that time its just dampish. i then proceed to use my faggogay hair care products i got. i pump some Bed Head leave in conditioner and run it through my hair. then sometimes ill use the Bed Head curl amplifing stuff, if i do i do it at this point in time. if i dont use it i proceed to the next step and squirt some gel into my hand and run it through. i dont use a pricey gel. if i want to take the time ill try to reform the natural curls so i get more definition in the spiral by using my fingers. then ill use a bit of mouse and then im done -------------------- Little monkeys making money

I have super thick hair too. Only differences are I dont put in leave in conditioner and I dont blow dry my hair at all because ill have an afro if I do. I use this really cool stuff by dove called Straight and Soft: Sleek Styling Cream because it helps weigh my hair down even more after i straighten it. I cant wash my hair everyday or every other day. It would make my hair too dry. I wash every 3rd day. I also dont have a flat iron so I have to use a cheap curling iron to straighten my hair |

I wash my hair every 2-3 days. If I were to wash it more than that it would really dry out. It's pretty dry from coloring it often and blow drying it. I use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair so that it has a UV filter in it. I also put a leave in conditioner on my hair right before I blow dry it. My hair is naturally wavy and it's really easy to straighten with just a hair dryer and a round brush. I use Small Talk by Toni and Guy to give it some body and then I spray Headrush (also by Toni and Guy) on it after it's dry. That makes it shiny and it smells great.

I have curly/wavy thick hair, but I condition every day. My hair gets really weird if I don't, so yeah. But I shampoo, then wash my face, then rinse, then put on conditioner, wash my body, shave, rinse, and I am done. I put on some anti-frizz crap after I have towel dried and combed my hair. How super exciting! I never blow dry my hair, or it is disasterous fro time and straightening takes waaaay too long for my low maintenence self!
