Someone mentioned the ads in the asdf thread, I just created an ad on Facebook and it's easy. If we all create a few ads we can flood the TTU network with Techsans.net ads.
Just type in the link and a short description (put whatever you want but remember it has to be approved by Facebook) and add an optional logo... I just used the logo at the top left. Then you select who you want to target, I selected current freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors in the Texas Tech network. Then you just add the limit you're willing to pay, I put $25 dollars a day and .76 cents a click, and type in your credit card... once you reach your limit the ad will be removed for the day and you won't be charged anymore. You can remove the ad anytime you want. If everyone does this I foresee a lot of new members joining. |

I do think we have the capability to bring Techsans back from the brink, even if we never get as big as it was its heyday. But we need a concerted advertising effort for that. Simultaneous Facebook ads, flyers, and chalkings. Members posting new threads each day, whether about events in Lubbock, interesting news stories, or other topics.
I think an advertising blitz now and another when the Fall semester starts would be most effective. I can target some Facebook ads towards incoming freshman, but I don't want to fund this entire effort on my own. Paypal addy is christine.mecklenborg@gmail.com if you'd like to contribute. Meanwhile, if someone would like to make up a flyer, I'd wager we can convince the current Lubbock-ites to post 'em on campus. -------------------- |

My plan is to get up to Lubbock soon and figure out a game plan. The board may require a complete overhaul.

Also, considering I work on campus around the dorms, I'll flyer the shit out of them when it gets close to the fall semester. =) -------------------- |
