AIG is looking for $20,000,000,000 to try to stay afloat, Merril Lynch sold itself to BoA, Lehman files for bankruptcy for losses of ~$613,000,000,000.

Dow down 504 points.
S&P down 59 points. The biggest point drop since 9/11. Over $600 billion loss in value in financial stocks today, a dollar loss like that last happened when George HW Bush was still in office.

Subprime mortgage crisis, 13 months and counting.

I had some stock in AIG. In March they were at $45 per share. Now they're at $4.50.

the lows happen. it's all part of investing. long term is the whole point. if you're hoping to take $5,000 and turn it into $10,000 next year you have no business investing.

The good thing about working for the government and paying into their retirement program is if it falls, then you're probably not going to need it anyway.

but thats fact, not a conspiracy.

now a conspiracy might be able to tie into those "high fructose corn syrup" commercials that you see all over the commercials lately.... who's behind it and why are these 2 powers competing? simple corporation battles... i think not..

to most people it's a conspiracy... go to wal-mart and tell one person you see purchasing twinkies about high fructose corn syrup and they'll look at you like you're retarded (facts be damned)

if you want more of a conspiracy that's corn-syrup related here ya go: coke used to be made with pure sugar, coca cola wanted to move to corn syrup but they knew no one would go for it unless they snuck it in so they created "new coke" which was purposefully designed to taste like shit and bomb in the marketplace. once everyone hated "new coke" they reintroduced "original coke" except this time with corn syrup! people were so happy to have the old coke back they didn't complain about the corn syrup switch (coca cola's evil plan worked).

You're talking about one stock. The whole market didn't drop 96% like your one stock did. Yes we are in just a "dip". Besides I wasn't the one that called it a dip, Christine was.

A fellow named "reinhardt" on Google Finance Groups predicted the Sept. 15th market crash down to the day two months ago. He also said that this is the beginning of the slide downwards to the total devaluation of the Dollar. He definitely has some interesting views on how the Catholic church and Vatican is involved.

The Bush crime family makes all other organized crime syndicates pale in their efficiency and ruthlessness.

Lehman hired Jeb Bush August 30th. Lehman also hired George Walker (Bush's second cousin) last year to head up the bank's asset management business. So they hire Bush's cousin as head of assets... and a year later the bank fails? I'm sure George Walker had absolutely nothing to do with it.

http://blogs.wsj.com/deals/2007/08/27/jeb-...-secret-weapon/

George Bush's relatives did the dirty work at the WTC also. Marvin Bush was in charge of the company providing security the to WTC and months before 9/11 he stopped all bomb sniffing dogs from regularly searching the buildings.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

I haven't read any of the stories, was just joking around. I'm too tired and just want to be back in my own bed with AC to care about any of this.

Given Lance's tendencies I would probably read them with a skeptical eye. I'll prob check them out when I get back home.

I think the collapse of these financial institutions were engineered (obviously) and intended to transfer control of these companies over to the Federal Reserve by way of "bailouts". With all the bailouts the Federal Reserve is quickly stockpiling quite a portfolio... Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and AIG. The question is who's next? The Federal Reserve is crashing and buying up all these companies so they're under their control. May I remind you that the Federal Reserve is not an American Government institution but a privately held corporation (owned by the Rothschilds who funded Hitler) and headquartered in Puerto Rico. Welcome to the NWO.

Yeah that's it, the federal government used some mind control devices to make people take loans & credit they couldn't afford. They also implanted tens of thousands of agents in the form of loan officers and had them offer up loans they knew those people couldn't afford. Yeah, that's a totally reasonable explanation rolleyes.gif

Policies come from the top-down not from the bottom-up. The loan officers only did what their superiors told them to do (offer loans and credit to people who obviously can't afford it). Have you ever used common-sense once in your whole life?

Uh, loan officers are paid on commission, they don't need management to convince them to make crooked sales. This conspiracy bullshit is really gettin old Lance. You see them everywhere. Exactly! so why would they need some government conspiracy to enforce the idea of commission?

Um... so not only is the bush family a grand crime syndicate, but they are also some of the greatest financial minds there are. To single handedly take down billion dollar orginazations through a grand scheme that no one in the financial market, besides apparently one person, could detect. Well im impressed. Just think if the great bush's were on our side... rolleyes.gif

Bush brought down the towers too... he also has magical powers to hide hundreds of pounds of wires, and explosives.

Conspiracies are by their definition against the logical conclusion people draw about a situation... yet when you DON'T believe a conspiracy on here you aren't logical... heh
