50-70% of healthy people are chimeras

Liver transplant changes girl's blood type to that of her donor

Induced chimerism in kidney transplant patients: hybrid immune systems + weened off anti-rejection drugs

Cool stuff. Not usually what I think of when I think of a chimera, but cool nonetheless.

The stuff on induced chimerism is very encouraging. I may not ever develop end renal failure with my kidney disease, but if I do, it's good to know that I might not need to be on a cocktail of drugs for the rest of my life after a kidney transplant.

well, they don't tell you that all girls are chimeras already. They express only one X chromosome per cell.
