Being a Pats fan, Im freaking happy that they are going to the Superbowl to possibly hit the 19-0 mark. That said, the Giants were one of the teams that pushed us to the limit, and Eli has been on a hot streak, with the rest of the team geling quite nicely. I think it will be a close game just like the first time, but I think the Pats will come out on top again, but just barely like last time.

I say the Pats, but I'll be rooting for the Giants.

I hate Eli Manning. Don't care about the pats but wouldn't mind seeing Wes get a ring.

i absolutely hate both teams but wes welker is on the pats so i guess i'll go for them. Maybe he could score all the games points on punt returns and win the mvp.

Spread went from 14 to 12... hmmm pretty tempting. I think Eli will fold under the pressure. He'll prob get a turnover or two early on and never recover.

Favre completely fucked my chance of going to the Super Bowl. I have zero interest in paying several grand to watch Eli Manning overthrow a wide open Plaxico Burriss and nearly behead the NE equipment guy on the sideline
The Patriots won't cover. I don't have my spreadsheets with me, but since the Pats' playoff run started in 01 they're under .500 ATS. 12 points is way too high - remember, their three SB wins were 20-17, 32-29, and 24-21 (maybe it was 27-24, I was hammered by the end of the game). They haven't covered the spread yet this in the playoffs and were 2-5 their last seven games of the regular season. Vegas wasn't giving them enough love at the beginning of the season (they started out 9-0 ATS), they gave them too much love the latter part of the season (25 point spreads are a joke), and now they're giving them way too many points because they know people are still horny over taking NE and it's easy money As for the game, it will be a lot closer than people think. Probably 35-27 Pats or 28-21 Pats. The Giants are a lot better than people think. Eli might made a lot of boneheaded plays this year, but he's still one of the top 5 qb's in the league talent-wise. He can make throws only two or three other guys can make. He had a problem with self confidence issues, which he's obviously gotten over real quick. He's already faced adversity and beat a HOF quarterback on the road in -10 degree temperature in a championship game. Trust me, he ain't the old Eli, other than still looking like an inbred dweeb. Let's just say I wouldn't be all that surprised of NY beats the Pats. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
