I was about 75 yards from it when I hit it. and given that it was iron sights I couldn't really tell how big it was.

I got up to it and felt all bad for killing some toddler hog. sad.gif

that thing fed like one dude... for one meal.

actually, to tell you the truth, I really probably hate PETA a lot less than than the rest of the left-wing ilk.

Truthfully I dont understand the need whatsoever for hunting, and if I knew how to be a vegetarian, I'd probably be one, providing I could still find way to take in lots of protien that wasn't derived from animal sources.

pathetic excuse I know, but being a vegetarian takes a lot of work and I just dont have time to try and learn how right now sad.gif

If PETA wasn't so phenomenally radical and extremely left-wing I'd probably like them, as I really don't care for guns, hunting, animal abuse, and all that jazz.

Which, even though I eat meat every day makes me sound like a complete hippocrit, which is true, in that respect I am, but as I said, if I knew how to be a vegetarian that could take in a fuckton of protein I'd do that.

It doesn't make you a hypocrite. PETA has good intentions they're just radical douchebags

I don't like animal abuse nor hunting purely for sport (eat what you kill, goddamit), but I have no problem with hunting, eating meat, etc. That having been said, I'm about a hop, skip, & jump away from being vegetarian myself. Just don't like meat all that much and very rarely find it among my groceries.

If PETA was just about protecting endangered species and such that'd be fine. But I'm gonna have me some red meat on my dinna plate.

The other thing that bugs me about PETA, is they pretty much just protect the fluffy cute animals. You don't see them picketing the mosquito trucks.

these hogs aren't indigenous (most are russian). they have been imported and reproduce like banshees. that's whey there is no "season" for them...parks and wildlife want them dead on sight.

well right now these things are mainly cat food.

we have a big ass mtn lion on the property that no one has ever seen. but there are plenty of paw prints (man hand size) and droppings around. the droppings look like a great dane took a dump in a pile of hair...so obviously this cat is acting like a fat kid at golden corral on those javs.

they recently shot two mtn lions between wheeler and pampa and one of them had been tagged...in montana.

that's one long ass commute!

Nah, I know. My mom has a ranch down near San Antonio... plenty of javelinas down there too. I just oppose people hunting purely for sport. Preferably, eat 'em. But if you're killing them because they're screwing up the local ecosystem, that's ok too. Kinda like controlled burns, only for piggies. laugh.gif

Here is what I have an ENORMOUS problem with:

"Hunting" in Texas is absolutley pathetic. I thought deer baiting was bad enough (note Texas is the only state in the country that allows this), then I see this type of horse shit?

You are absolutley %100 a pathetic excuse for a human being to partake in this type of horse shit.

Personally I'd love to shoot the people who own and operate this "hunting ranch" as well as the assholes who are paying them to stay in business.

I mean my god, how much more mindless than this does it get?

Well lets see here, how many times in my life have I hand fed a deer apples from the back porch of my family's cabin on the mountain? I used to do this a lot as a kid, but then we realized this was bad for the dear because it was taming them, and when you throw idiots such as those in the pictures (or you for that matter) into the mix what you get is a recepie for human stupidity.

So we stopped feeding them.

It's not uncommon at all for me to see a deer walking down the main street in town where I used to live in Wyoming, and in fact there was one in our yard yere in Utah two weeks ago.

And no, I have never had any desire whatsoever to shoot a tame deer so I can feign like I'm some sort of big macho tough man great white hunter like the asstards that go to hunting ranches like that ...

no that is a spare ar15 mag. force of habit to overload on ammo.

my .45 is on my right hip but isn't visible.

you should immobilize them from long range and finish them off close range with the .45, or just patiently wait in the trees and use only a knife and a loin cloth and pounce upon the javelina when he is under your tree.

That wouldn't be manly enough for dogmeat, using such luxuries as knives and loincloth.

dogmeat stalks them and waits until they wake from their slumber. then he arms them with a foil and challenges them to a duel.

Do you butcher the meat yourself or take it to a meat packing plant?

See that's what I think is stupid ... people who hunt, then they don't even butcher the meat.

They just barley field dress it enough to the point it doesn't go bad, bleed the thing, etc, then they pay somone else to cut it up for them.

I blew up a toad once and it was icky.

Oh well. Time to sniff more glue.

oh for the love of god...

do you drill your own oil and process it into gasoline?

the last time I harvested a deer was in fall 04. that was also the last time I had a full day and two negros to help me with the shit, plus access to a vacuum sealer. as it is, I field dress it, quarter it, throw it in an ice chest and take it into town.

motherfuckers get paid to do that work. I'm sure as hell not a professional butcher. it's not all about being john rambo.

I get the feeling your hunting expertise is nil.

No, but I've helped relatives of mine who refuse to even use scopes butcher their elk in their garage before smile.gif
