If people have tshirts from it - why go there ?

Granted I imagine a place like Venice is rather scenic....but still.

Just hop on trains and go with it. Does the world really need another picture of somebody in front of the Eiffel Tower ?

cluny is a city from the roman occupation that has the ruins of a huge monestary, i believe the biggest in france, and housed the royals horses (and still does). its also in the mountainous region
not super tourist attraction but i remember it being one of the coolest stops and eating the best french food i ever had there
it was from a vacation strictly based for viewing different kinds of ruins. man theres this other place with this insane backstory but i cant remember anything else about it

plus its semi along a major route to get to everywhere else

just a suggestion of an awesome not kitchy place

i agree with rocky seek out your own adventure in a cool place.

Bober's already been to the Eifel tower.

if you go through germany make sure to check out some vineyards
some of wine towns are just really cool crazy melting pots
(shout out to my homes Partenheim)
which is just a short travel trip to Mainz which is a BEAUTIFUL town and not far from frankfurt either- guttenberg museum there

take a boat trip down the rhine. they have tours for them and you havre a billion photo ops - tons of castles and passing by river front towns

Yeah, but France has La Penn and the numerous reports of Jewish grave desecrations. (last part is pretty common is other areas, I suspect?)

the problem is, no one would care if a hitler pops up in europe and gases a few million muslims in concentration camps

eastern europe is quite charming and remains relatively inexpensive despite the fact that many of the warsaw pact countries have recently joined the EU. Prague is the exception... it is overrated and its just americans anyway

I've heard Prague is beautiful/awesome... I want to go visit there after I graduate.

Definitely check out Barcelona, one of my favorite cities worldwide. Lisbon is pretty cool too.

Well, now that the Eta has declared a permanent ceasefire Spain is fairly safe.

Normandy, France - a lot of history. (I prefer to stay away from Paris, it's filthy).
Oberammergau, Germany - home of the Passion Play
Munich, Germany - one of the coolest cities
Nuremberg, Germany
Aarhus, Denmark
Copenhagen, Denmark
Prague, Czech Republic - great nightlife
Salzburg, Austria - tons of history and just a cool city

Southern/Southwest Germany is just cool.

since is probably out of your way, but southern spain is really awesome.

granada is one of the coolest towns i've known. full of young people from all over the world, and they have a really cool old mosque called the Alhambra (google if you want).
london of course you need to see.
lisbon is pretty cool too if you're down in the area. its real chill and low-key.

if i had to recommend one place thats totally unique and different - Gibraltar. just read about it, google it. let me know if you have questions.

eh spain was already safe. ETA always called in their threats so that they'd be evacuated. they just wanted an explosion, not deaths.

plus, thats only in way northern spain in basque country. nobody travels there hardly.
