If people have tshirts from it - why go there ?
Granted I imagine a place like Venice is rather scenic....but still. Just hop on trains and go with it. Does the world really need another picture of somebody in front of the Eiffel Tower ? -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

cluny is a city from the roman occupation that has the ruins of a huge monestary, i believe the biggest in france, and housed the royals horses (and still does). its also in the mountainous region
not super tourist attraction but i remember it being one of the coolest stops and eating the best french food i ever had there it was from a vacation strictly based for viewing different kinds of ruins. man theres this other place with this insane backstory but i cant remember anything else about it plus its semi along a major route to get to everywhere else just a suggestion of an awesome not kitchy place i agree with rocky seek out your own adventure in a cool place. -------------------- Little monkeys making money

eastern europe is quite charming and remains relatively inexpensive despite the fact that many of the warsaw pact countries have recently joined the EU. Prague is the exception... it is overrated and its just americans anyway

Well, now that the Eta has declared a permanent ceasefire Spain is fairly safe.
Normandy, France - a lot of history. (I prefer to stay away from Paris, it's filthy). Oberammergau, Germany - home of the Passion Play Munich, Germany - one of the coolest cities Nuremberg, Germany Aarhus, Denmark Copenhagen, Denmark Prague, Czech Republic - great nightlife Salzburg, Austria - tons of history and just a cool city Southern/Southwest Germany is just cool. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

since is probably out of your way, but southern spain is really awesome.
granada is one of the coolest towns i've known. full of young people from all over the world, and they have a really cool old mosque called the Alhambra (google if you want). london of course you need to see. lisbon is pretty cool too if you're down in the area. its real chill and low-key. if i had to recommend one place thats totally unique and different - Gibraltar. just read about it, google it. let me know if you have questions. -------------------- ![]() |
