QUOTE
Heavyweight champion Randy Couture has severed ties with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, his Las Vegas spokesman said on Thursday.

Spokesman Sean O'Heir of Couture's Xtreme Couture MMA said Thursday that the UFC Hall of Famer had vacated his championship and resigned as an analyst on UFC television broadcasts.

O'Heir said Couture was hoping for a fight to be made against Fedor Emelianenko, who is the top-ranked mixed martial artist in the Yahoo! Sports poll. Reports surfaced Tuesday that Emelianenko had signed with a new promoter, M-1.

"He was disappointed when he couldn't get a fight with Fedor," O'Heir said. "That would have been his legacy fight."...

I understand his decision. That would have been the biggest matchup in MMA history. Sucks though...he's my all-time favorite fighter. ='(

That would've been an awesome fight! Makes sense though for him to not want to fight any one else. Sucks too that Fedor signed with someone else. After Cro-Cop and Shogun losing in the UFC I'd have like to seen him fight in the UFC.

The majority of Pride fighters that have come to UFC have been mediocre at best, or have just plain sucked. I guess coming down off the juice to fight in the US affected many of their performances. wink.gif
Fedor, on the other hand, would've still been a beast. His power comes from raw old-school ruskie training. Goddamn I wanted to see that fight.

Damn I've been disappointed in CroCop. /sidenote

Boxing > golf > tennis > MMA

Fuckmuffin. That word and muffintop are the two coolest things I've ever seen on this place. What would happen if a fuckmuffin fucked a chick with a muffintop? That's a lot of muffins. A lot of motherfuffin muffuckins.

Heh yeah. Tito has always had that problem it seems. Maybe when he makes his umpteenth comeback he'll be more of a good fighter than a big mouth.
