it's because of her language. the other dude didn't get censored.

any tv network would have done the same.

Good. The less people hear from idiot actors/actresses who think they understand politics.

It's funny, because if the democrats get their way with the Fairness Doctrine then after she made her speech someone would have to get up there an make a counterpoint for the war.

if i'm watching the emmys i could care less about what some actor has to say about the war. i'm sure they censored it because they knew half the people across the nation watching it would immediately change the channel.

Freedom of speech???

Oh wait, that is UNAMERICAN! TERRORISM!!!

--------------------
A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

nobody prevented the person from speaking. the constitution doesn't give you freedom to be broadcast over a corporate controlled network.

quit thinking about this with yalls liberal ass crybaby constitutional rights whining, and think about it from a business perspective. it's fox. they're a TV network. they make money by having people watch their channel instead of others. people who get annoyed by stupid actors trying to get some political message nobody gives a shit about will change the channel.

Not to mention that only a government can violate constitutional rights.

If i went up and shoved a lava lamp down her throat it would be a crime... but not a violation of freedom of speech. .... This wasn't even a crime, and still not a violation of freedom of speech.

But im assuming your kidding, so i'll just offer that maybe they just wanted to keep it a pleasant cermony free of politics...

i doubt bush called in a favor to ask them to censor kathy griffin and sally field

just an inappropriate time to talk about politics. she has a right to do it, but she's a moron for doing it. and it's the network's decision to do whatever the hell they want regarding what they want viewers to see.

The fact that most of them live in a fantasy world makes them not understand politics. Hollywood does not represent the average American.
