People might have seen this before, but we messed around with it in the office today and it's pretty nifty. With the xinput drivers from microsoft you can actually use the xbox 360 guitar (which is just USB) with it. Pretty nifty. Obviously the graphics won't be as good as the 360 version, but if you like guitar hero and dont want to buy a whole system for it, it's a cool option. We haven't tried it, but supposedly you can import the other guitar hero tracks directly from the 360 or ps2 discs, so you could theoretically just rent them and get all the tracks. I believe the 360 guitar can be had for $50 by itself.

that's awesome considering i really want to play but don't want to buy an xbox 360
does it have all the same songs as the real game? |

technically you don't even have to buy a guitar bc it lets you play w/the keyboard, but we tried that and it's totally ghey.

frets on fire has been around for quite some time. The cool thing is that a lot of FoF songs can be converted using tools available at ScoreHero.com and inserted into an actual PS2 ISO.
In other words, if you have a modded PS2, you can burn your own version of the GH2 disc with custom songs and whatnot and play it straight on the PS2. There's already a few "hacked" or "elite" editions floating around the torrent sites. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

from what i hear some people have synching issues depending on their pc and graphics cards -- not an issue with the PS2

people have synch issues w/their ps2 and/or xbox and certain TVs as well.

This is true, but GH2 has a calibration option in the video settings. Surely you've seen this?
