well i graduated in 2004, got a job in lubbock, bought this house in 2005, and now got a job in houston this past april. the housing market is terrible, so instead of selling the house i kept it as an investment property (rent house). it's at 25th & Ave U. not the greatest neighborhood, but the houses around there are getting bought up and renovated like crazy, I think 5-10 years from now I'll make a hefty profit on it.

Finally took some pics. The living room and dining room are reversed from what was probably intended by the floorplan, but the setup I went with works much better with the furniture I have. Plus, the added advantage of no glare on the TV from the patio windows.

View from the front door

Living room

Kitchen... the doors there lead to the small laundry room (about the same size as the one in Rabble's vid) and pantry.

Study

Dining room

Dining room from the other side

Bathroom

Bedroom

j/k... my boyfriend has a parrot (Timneh African Grey), so it's a place for her to stay if he brings her over. The cage was originally at his parents' house in Beaumont, but they're moving overseas, so I ended up with it for now.

She's very closely bonded to Chris, but she's becoming more and more ok with me. She's only a little over a year old, so she's not terribly set in her ways yet. She's snippy mainly when I'm trying to get her out of her cage (unless she's really desperate to get out -- then she's fine) or if she's on Chris' shoulder. She's absolutely fine with me over at my place, because then she's out of her territory.

She surprised me the other day by flying to my shoulder from the top of her cage. Very unprecendented.

Just moved to San Marcos on Wednesday. Here is my room, bathroom, kitchen, and part of the living room. My roommate and I arent done setting up the rest of the house yet.
Bed

cool piece of art, my diploma, and a lamp in my room

I got a little creative with this table in my room

Computer desk in my room

Area above my computer desk

Bathroom

My shower curtain

Kitchen... the complex gave us a $50 credit on rent because the cabinet doors arent ready yet

The dvd rack me and my roommate bought. It holds 500 dvds, and with only mine in there 250 spaces are taken up sad.gif I think we are going to need another rack because she has more than I do

An overall view of my room

Did you label your DVDs? If not, maybe you should or I forsee a fight at move-out day!
We bought small stickers that we put on the inside of each dvd. I have green stickers inside and she has pink. Also, she had problems at her old apt with people stealing her dvds so we sat down and made lists in Excel of what we each had and we will add to the list as our collection grows. If we feel something is missing then we can just look at our lists and we will know what dvd it is and who it belongs to. So got it covered wink.gif

it's a $30 one time fee to use it for over 50 DVDs, but I found it well worth it. especially since it lets you upload your collection online like this:
