I am heading to Philadelphia then on to Seattle in September and I was wondering if anyone had taken the Amtrak from Philly to Newark before?
It's $50 for the train ride which isn't bad but I'd like to know what the service on the train is. Is there buy-on-board food? How long does the trip take? -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

I've ridden the amtrack before. They have a dining cart and a snack bar. The only big problem with them is that they do not have right of way on the railways, and can fall behind schedule. I took my baby brother on it and he loved it.

Its true that they dont have their own rail lines but they are the highest priority trains on the freight lines that they use due to the financial incentives
