What I think is funny about this is it doesn't surprise me at all. This is a great peice of evidence supporting my theory that "saving the environment" has a hell of a lot more to do with politics than it does science. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

This is a great piece of evidence supporting my theory that "saving the environment" has a hell of a lot more to do with politics than it does science. wow. It speaks volumes against that "I'll sign anything" pseudo-hippie mentality. But to derive that environmentalism is bogus based off this video is ridiculous. Yeah, a lot of any major movement is based off political motivation. Same with the anti-environmentalist movement: Big Business interests lobbying political figureheads against environmental protection regulations. I think it's a scientific fact that drinking sludge as opposed to clean water/breathing smog as opposed to clean air/ etc etc etc E-fucking-TC, is an ...unpleasant experience, to say the absolute least. -------------------- |

I guess that video hits a little close to home with me since those are the people who vote for idiots peddling "dihydrogen monoxide" if you catch my drift ... If you look at who heads up groups like earth first, sierra club, etc .... none of them are scientists, environmental engineers, biochemists .... they're all fucking lawyers.

Yeah, I saw that ep of P&T's Bullshit just a couple of days ago. They show a lot of purely politically-motivated environmentalists, but they also show some rational, intelligent ones.

this is precisely why our system of government works so well. you elect people to represent you, rather than you specifically vote on every issue. the general public is a bunch of idiots.

True, I fucking hate lawyers. They don't produce anything tangable so they get all self-ritious and push stupid ideas that help make them sleep well at night.
I remember when I would tevo the BS episodes -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!
