Now that I am 25 (as of 12 minutes ago), can I call my insurance company up and get my shit reduced? Or do I have to wait until I renew in like 2 months?

Happy birthday then.
And not sure. I was gonna get off my parents insurance when I turned 25 in August, but I was informed that I don't have to, so I'm just gonna stay on it since I had a no-fault accident a couple years ago that my current insurance company isn't even considering and would make going to another more expensive. It's not much, but $400 extra a year is a month's rent! I would think you would have to finish out the current term since you're under contract. -------------------- Spam? Isn't that something poor people eat?

You can switch insurance companies at any time (that six month "contract" doesn't mean shit), but you're probably gonna have to wait to renew if you want to stay with the same place. Can always call and ask, though...

Call your insurance company and see if they will reduce your rate now. I change my insurance coverage all the time. If I downgrade, I get money back. If I upgrade, I make a payment online. Maybe your company will send you a small refund check if you tell them that you intend to renew with them in two months if they are able to offer you a good rate now.

Yeah, you can change coverages at any time, but usually they only evaluate your age, ticket record, etc. etc. at renewal time. -------------------- |
