I just absolutley love how fucking mindless everyone who attends this event is. Let's burn hundreds of thousands of tons of coal to power amplifiers that would have normally not been burned, and according to us, cause global warming so that we can help to stop global warming. fucking MORONS. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

In the grand scheme of things, I really don't think a few concerts during the year are going to make a huge difference in the earth's climate.

when i clicked the link it had nothing to do with coal. "new clean coal burning technologies" mostly propaganda by this administration. the US has the largest supply of coal in the world. big money Concerts need electricity. Electricity is produced by burning millions and millions of tons of coal each year. Coal is the most filthy fuel that is consumed for public use today. Al Gore is sponsoring an event that will burn tens, if not hundreds of thousands of tons of coal to supply electricity for his event, thus, CONTRIBUTING to the problem of "Global Warming" they claim they are trying to stop. In the grand scheme of things, I really don't think a few concerts during the year are going to make a huge difference in the earth's climate. It's the blatatantly hippocritical nature of him and his brainless supports that I am fed up with. It's the principle of the matter. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

Or perhaps the fact that there's no alternative energy source for the concerts to use underscores Gore's point even more. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! Or perhaps the fact that there's no alternative energy source for the concerts to use underscores Gore's point even more. Or, it could be he's politicizing a non-issue because people are dumb enough to believe the crap he spews about it. If he truly stood by his so-called conviction, what he would effectivley have to preach in order to do so would be for people to effectivley remove themselves from society wholley, or at least as much as possible. The reason I say this is, *******EVERYTHING IN EVERY ONE OF OUR LIVES******* is based around fossil fuels. EVERYTHING. Again, I repeat, EVERYTHING you own, do, and have in some way or another is tied back to the fact that it took fossil fuels to make, or do it. Therefore, if you are *TRULY* going to make a stand against "global warming", you need to walk the walk, and make a very concentrated effort NOT to use, or do, the things that contribute to the effect you're supposedly trying to negate. Therefore, you would effectivley become a nomadic omnivore that did not use any form of modern transportation, you burn wood for heat, and you hunt and grow your own food. As soon as everyone starts doing that, or somone invents practical nuclear fusion without the problems of NUCLEAR waste, then we won't have global warming. As it is, Al Gore and his mindless supporters are doing *NOTHING* to actually *SOLVE THE FUCKING PROBLEM* of Global Warming like they claim they are. Politicians do NOT solve problems. They politiicize issues to get votes. That's what they do. They are not scientists or problem solvers... Him, and this concert which is the latest in a long string of bullshit political stunts on his part, are yet another shining example of the hipocrasy of the whole global warming shenanigans. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

ugh dogmeat. of course everything uses fossil fuels and we're highly dependent. THATS THE POINT Exactly, so having a series of concerts that's going to CONTRIBUTE to the problem instead of help SOLVE the problem is blatant hipocrasy on his and his supporters part. If they wanted to bring awareness they could at least have a series of concerts that DIDNT REQUIRE ELECTRICITY in order to actually practice what they're preaching instead of making a massive political stunt about it like they're doing, but %99.9 of the people who buy into his crap can't see the forest for the trees about it .... again, what he's proposing, has proposed, blah blah blah, does nothing to SOLVE the problem because its nothing more than a political stunt. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

Seriously, if the illuminati were really in control of the communist allies then it wouldn't have been anything for them to crush them from the onset of their rebellion, but they haven't managed to do that... Coal is not really filthy anymore, at least not in the sense of how it's been portrayed. With proper scrubbing and regulations, coal is a clean fuel.
I was actually going through the EIA (government regulations) numbers today for work and it looks like we are burning about equal parts coal and natural gas. I'll put some of the data together and post it when i get a chance. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

While you're at that, take into account the combustion effeciency of coal versus natural gas for instance, also get numbers on particulates, and unburned hydrocarbons per pound of coal burned versus natural gas, gasoline, diesel, or any other fossil fuel. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

Funny you mention these things... A lot of it is in the data that I am looking at. Such as BTUs of fuel burned for gas and coal for the production of electricity. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

QUOTE Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES). QUOTE Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWhâ€â€guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359. -------------------- death to false dudes
