i am supposed to order one for a christmas present...any suggestions on brands?
and is it worth waiting till the 30th for the new windows to come out....(they sent it to you for free when it does come out) -------------------- bored...so i did this

don't get vista unless you have the hardware to take advantage of it. Not support it, take advantage. That means a Direct X 10 video card. Which you won't have. So don't bother at all, until you're forced to upgrade.
seriously. as for laptops, i used to say get a dell, but you know, fuck dell. toshiba has pretty good support. no to sony. uhhh macbook pro is probably best of both worlds. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.
