Does Triple J (formerly Hub City) sell their beer bottled? My friend is wanting to find out so she can perhaps take some to a friend back home.

not bottled, but you can get growlers - their half gallon glass jugs, but their not sealed so you have to drink it in a couple days.
also sell kegs... -------------------- ~Clatto Verata Nicto

probably because they arent bottling it in something that bears their name. There might be a loophole that allows them to put it in a non-sealable container

Texas laws are written to be interperted, that is why there are lots of lawyers in this state.

so how can growlers be legal then? Because it’s not distributed. When I mean distributed its anything that you see on the shelves at a liquor store. Before it hits the shelves, it was sold to the store by a distributor or wholesaler (such as Glazer's), and before that it was bought directly from the winery/brewery/distillery (yay for that wonderful three tier system BS). Can you buy a growler of beer from a Texas brewpub at the liquor store? No. Most of those TABC laws are messed up. Such as not being able to buy beer at a brewery is Texas. How stupid is that? You can go to Rahr and Sons in Fort Worth and do a free tour (or skip it and drink 3 pints), and they give you samples for free, because it’s illegal for them to charge for beer. Sure, you're thinking "free beer", what’s so bad about that? The bad part is that whatever free samples you are getting, they're for sale or are going to be on sale at the store. I live in Colorado now, and I find myself at Bristol Brewing Company quite often. They have about 6 beers that they regularly brew, bottle, keg, and distribute. On top of that, they have well over a dozen other beers that will be on-tap only, never make it to bottles, and never get distributed. This gives the brewer's some flexibility in what they want to make, and sell it at the brewery, or eventually become a part of their regular lineup. So it gives you the best of both worlds, being able to try their beers, even though you might not live in the same state, and go to the brewery and try their other offerings to see how well they can make other beers. -------------------- Beers that I have had, updated July 5th, 2009: 1,548

-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
