What did you get people? Is there something you are hoping to get?

Then come Christmas, we update each other on what we got.

I'll go first on what I got people:
My mom: a gift card to Dillards cuz she all of a sudden started to like shopping and she needs new clothes (im normally opposed to getting gift cards) and some fingernail polish
My dad: a gift card to Best Buy cuz my mom is getting him a laptop for Christmas so I figure he'll need some accessories.
My grandma: a whole bunch of random cool stuff I know she'll like like a "grow your own" venus flytrap, a betty boop calendar, a nick nack that looks like her dog, and a hummingbird sun reflector thing
My brother: some gun thing he wanted and some Yu-gi-oh cards
My grandpa: $20 to buy stamps and the best of The Match Game on dvd (its an old game show)
Will: a vintage looking record player and some Rolling Stones albums... and just so I dont seem like an idiot.... I already gave him the gift so it doesnt matter if he reads this

Im excited. I havent been able to buy my family good gifts in a long time.

I dont know what I want from my family. I guess its going to just be nice to see them for the holidays.

Well, I got a new watch as a birthday present, but no xmas presents yet.

I am too poor to buy gifts this year

--------------------
A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

My family does name draws so we don't have to spend lots of money on lots of people...

For immediate family I pulled my brother and I got him a Red Raider hot sauce kit

For extended family I pulled a cousin and so far I have a bath set but I need something else for a 15yo who is already spoiled rotten...

Dad and stepmom Lonesome Dove on DVD so we don't have to watch it every time it comes on, plus a bottle of Chardonnay barbecue sauce from the Llano winery (we went last weekend)

Have nothing yet for my mom/her fiance, grandparents or my sister.

Jason and I bought a joint gift for ourselves - an apartment. Other than that, we aren't getting each other anything.

The only thing I want/have asked for is cash/gift cards. It's really tacky to ask for/give them and it's rude to ask for money I know, but as a recent grad I'm concerned about paying rent first and foremost. Plus we have so much crap that anything I can think of would most likely be something for the sake of asking for something. At least gift cards can be used for things like groceries and home furnishing stuff...

I'm getting a digital camera from my mom as a graduation present and that's the only thing I really want. Plus I'm getting her furniture since she's moving in with her fiance. And I finally get my dog so I'm all gifted out when it comes to what I want.

Gifts I bought--

Dad: manicure set and a tie
Stepmom: slippers and flannel pj's
Mom: gift card for JCPenney's
Stepdad: "The Spam Letters" and a gift card for Barnes & Noble
Stepbro: "Backyard Ballistics" and a gift card for Half Price Books
Stepbro's gf: USB christmas tree thing and a gift card for Half Price Books

Tabitha (stepbrother's gf) did make a set of runes as a joint gift for me and Jim, but we broke up right after she'd finished them. Jim kept those because he's more into that kind of stuff than I am. Other than that, I haven't gotten any gifts, though my stepmother does want to take me shopping for some more professional clothes for part of my Christmas stuff.

I got a buttload of stuff.

Sleepwear (2 sets)
Burgundy fleece throw
Padded vest thing
Vietnamese cookbook
Sushi dish set
Intro crochet kit
$75 in gift cards for Best Buy (gonna use those to help buy a PS2... biggrin.gif)
$25 gift card for Half Price Books
Map of Austin
Tangoes game
Two nice black flower-shaped candle bowls with bamboo mint scented candles
Reed oil diffuser w/ apple oak scented oil
Feather thing for Janus
"Gift certificate" for a hair dryer from my folks

Plus my stepmother is planning to take me shopping for some more professional-type clothes. I'll probably get another set of interview-appropriate clothes and then some business casual stuff like polos and button-up shirts. I may take a rain check on some of that shopping until I get a real job lined up, because I won't know until then whether I need a full professional wardrobe or just biz cas stuff.

I'm not entirely sure I want the thing. Last year my brother got me a cordless massager thing and I like that one a lot. Not sure if I need two and the review I read didn't speak too highly of its performance. I'm thinking of either regifting it or selling it on eBay.

use both. get the clit and cornhole dual-fisted monkey style with it

thank you. i couldn't tell from her reply if she just didn't get the joke or if she was already content with her current vibrator. Your comment kinda makes it more specific.
