I've never gotten any e-mail about school being cancelled even when it snowed a lot one day my freshmen year.
I've got my e-mail current on ERaider just to make sure....  Maybe we won't have class tomorrow....that would be nice.

i started at tech in fall 98 and i only recall once that classes were cancelled. and the number of times early classes were cancelled can be counted on one hand.

It actually makes perfect sense. In the morning, the snow wasn't melting, but now for the night, it's melted and refreezing as ice on the roads. Combine that with it being night time and the chance of car accidents goes up.
