I actually bought the Media Player they were selling last night.

a zune is 250 and is only 30gb and this is 60gb, I'm planning on using it as a mobile VCR because you can plug it into your TV with no extra cost.

I also picked up the "Logitech Wireless USB Music System for PC" because my pop has been bugging me about how to plug his computer into his stereo wirelessly forever.

i'd prefer to just plug in my vacuum cleaner and vacuum the whole house in 30 minutes instead of waiting for the robot to clean the house in 4 hours..

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

mine bluetooth headsets came in today. actually really prompt shipping for a wootoff, i'm guessing that new warehouse is paying off.

edit: and for the record, i don't use it outside of my room or car. none of that 24-hour-ear-cancer bullshit. helps a lot since i have long ass conversations with my girl back home and i also have a heavy, expensive, slightly-awkward to hold phone. (treo)

most of their refurbs are actually new, just unsold (ie, newer models/versions came out before they killed their inventory)

I've gotten a lot of them in sealed original packaging.

i suppose, but these had obviously never been opened (my bluetooth headset and some headphones i ordered -- the headphones especially)

my logitech bluetooth ipod headphones, however, came in a cardboard box.

and that's about it.

sometimes the companies will take returned items that were defected and remanufacture them or fix the broken part and then repackage them in the original material...

it looks like an original piece but at least they're trustworthy enough to market it as a refurb

honestly...refurbs aren't all that bad
i just like having new products

iRiver has a whole section of their website dedicated to refurbs that they sell. But yes, they remanufacture products and then put them in packaging so the customer feels almost as if they are buying something brand new.

Part of the deal with the projectors is that they also post links to a $200 instant rebate and a $100 not-instant rebate forms. So that $600 projector is more like $300. Thats why they sell so well; they're fucking cheap!

they had some badass stuff last night. first time i've seen anything really decent on there in a month or two. the "day-shift" wootoff items are typically more expensive and very niche, though, a la Roombas or flat panel TVs. :/

during a woot off, they change the item every 6-12 hours i believe, or earlier if they sell out of an item...normally they just post 1 item every 24 hour period
