The title explains itself, post what you are watching and or reading. I know you can't read and type... but type what you were reading withing the last hour.

I am not reading or watching anything. Just listening to music, well go ahead and post away.

it's basically like reading the thoughts of an autistic child.

Weed is freaking awesome show, it is addicting as hell. Watched roger and me about 30 mins ago. I had never seen it, probably one of his better and more true docs.

There was big controversy about that book because Oprah chose it for her book club praising how real it was only to find out later that he basically made up everything.

I'm reading The Naked and The Dead by Norman Mailer

Only Revolutions by Mark E Danielewski.

Had high hopes after reading House of Leaves, but in the end was not near as good. Still good, but not nearly as good as HoL.

After this I plan to start (try) to read either A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius or Gravity's Rainbow.

Or Ceremony.

I'll decide after I'm done reading this.

I watched Audition earlier today -- FUCKED UP movie, but good. In about half an hour, I'm gonna watch Heroes.

Before then (and/or after Heroes), I need to rewrite the intro to Chapter 3 of my thesis.

I'm reading Valis by Philip K. Dick and American Splendor: Our Movie Year.

Valis is kind of weird right now not what I was expecting. The other anthology of American Splendor I have is better than this one.

I finished Time Machine (same day I started it... it's ridiculously short). I'm about to dive into Arabian Nights. It's an abridged version, but should still be good.

the ash garden - dennis bock

excerpt from a review
QUOTE
Lives already in motion, unsettled by war, and about to change beyond reckoning---their pasts blurred and their destinies at once defined and distorted by an inconceivable event. For that man was bound for the desert of Los Alamos, the woman unexpectedly en route to a refugee camp, the girl at Ground Zero and that plane the Enola Gay. In August of 1945, in a blinding flash, Hiroshima sees the dawning of the modern age.

book is two stories on opposing sides of the world and opposing forces. the characters nearly mingle at the beginning (chronologically) but eventually they do collide. it moves back and forth in time with nearly each alternating chapter being from 1 characters perspective
good book

The Children of Húrin by J.R.R. Tolkien

So far, pretty good...an easier read than the History of Middle Earth ones. This one is more in the style of Hobbit and LOTR. I remember reading this story in a bit less depth in Silmarillion

I liked this series, except for the fourth book which wasn't written by Ludlum. I honestly think the movies left out WAY too much from the books.

The Hot Zone - Richard Preston

just now reading this book.

QUOTE
The dramatic and chilling story of an Ebola virus outbreak in a surburban Washington, D.C. laboratory, with descriptions of frightening historical epidemics of rare and lethal viruses. More hair-raising than anything Hollywood could think of, because it's all true.

Do I really want to punch this guy in the face? And the answer is nonverbal: his fist rocketing out and smashing Blake's face

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

Watching 3rd Season of 24 on DVD (so much better than the stuff they pass for 24 this season).

Reading The Fall by Camus.
