I've heard of some high expectations from nearing grads and was wondering what kind of starting pay you expect to make right out of college.

Also, what is the absolute minimal salary you would accept and what kind of industry do you want work in?

I expect 55k at a minimum, but probably will get 60k+. I'm graduating with an M.S. in mechanical engineering, for the half dozen people who DON'T know... lol.

Depends on what I decide to do. If I go to law school, probably about $55k minimum (I'll probably want to work with the DOJ when I get out because they help pay off student loans, otherwise I could make much more).

if I quit school right now I'd make ~$37k if I switched my current part time job to full time.

but I plan on finishing my undergrad this year, go to grad school next year and get a MS in Meteorology and then I might get a PhD in Wind Engineering

Since all that will take a while, I have no idea

I'll be heading to grad school and my lofty expectations at this moment are to get a good amount of that expense taken care of on its own. By the end of that I'll have a PhD. I'm expecting 60-80k with the work id be doing.

I expected to make a good amount less than what I am making now. I was expecting $45-50k a year for a recent grad but the offer I took was well in excess of that. Granted, I don't really want to be in Dallas and will probably be relocating soon.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
