What do you all think? Is the 'option' of being able to plug the HD-DVD unit into your alread-DVD capable Xbox 360 worth it? I think what's gonna happen is no game developers are going to take advantage of the added capability of HD-DVD because nobody is gonna wanna pay another $170 just to play the same game without having to swap DVD's out or something... Seriously. What is the big deal about Blu-Ray or HD-DVD on a video game console other than you can fit more data on the DVD so you don't have to switch DVD's mid-game or whatever? -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

it'll sell, but it won't be a must-have in the same way that the N64 expansion pak was. (The only really sucessful system add-on peripheral i can think of)

From what I have read, it is just for HD movies... all xbox360 game will be on formats the 360 can play already. So it's just an add on if you want to watch HD dvds.
But we will have to wait to see who wins... HD or blue-ray. My vote is HD cause I have read some stuff on Tri layered dvds that will play on reg dvd players or HD ones. |

Blu-rays can take a beating though. And have more storage. It's gonna be a tough race for either of them.
