The only thing I know, is that people have been calling IT help desk and asking for access to the tech site that has all the official seals. I've gotten atleast 2 calls about it in the last month. They all mention having to change the seals on their departmental site to fit the new tech standards. So maybe that's a sign.

They've done a major re-design of the TTU websites... Take a look.

The big wigs are enforcing some kind of standard look from what i understand.. I think if you look at the url it'll give you a clue as to what the site will look like. all of the ttu.edu content has to be fit to form somehow....teh depts.ttu.edu has to fit to form somehow... i think, idk, i've gotten calls and crap, like i said. It look cool to me. It's more organized...like, when you clikc on a link it doesnt bring up a list of blue letters on a white background anymore

I think they need a happy medium... The new site is too cluttered but the old site looked like it was designed by a 6 yr. old using an outdated copy of Frontpage.

They've had that policy for the last couple of years, they've just struggled to make it work...

the logo that is on the ttu.edu website is the shield from the seal. The shield is what all TTU and TTUHSC people use for their identity. If you go to texastech.edu you will the full seal which was just digitally enhanced (no cotton bolls were taken off) and it is the official identity of the system as a whole.

ya I had to sit through a long presentation about all this crap. To me I think this whole new identity system is a waste of time/money.

look closely at the seal, it is slightly different what Bill Dean was approached with was the concern of the pulling of the 10 cotton balls on the seal, which represent Lubbock and the nine surronding counties that producet 2-3% of the entire worlds cotton

They have changed the seal

For those that dont know, Bill Dean is the Executive Officer for the Alumni Association and numerous other organizations.

The seal was said to not be changed ever. . . and that my class ring would never change. . . which it has
