Marilyn Manson is alright in my book

--------------------
A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

it's safe to just say anything Manson has done after 1996 has been complete shit, and anything he will do in the future will be complete shit. It's no wonder Twiggy left the band. He should have realized long ago that when Manson pulled another man's pants down onstage at a concert in their hometown, and proceeded to put the guy's dick in his mouth, that it would surely one day lead to wearing glitter and writing horribly mediocre songs.

Woah did that seriously happen?

Because I heard all kinds of stories about him doing appalling things on stage when I was youngn' in Lubbock but they were all rumors cooked up by the southern baptists to keep him from coming here

I'm not saying homosexuality is bad but I wouldn't necessarily pay money to see a guy do that... and by not necessarily I mean probably not at all, and by probably not at all... yeah, just no.

hey theres nothing wrong with watching two attractive people do anything whatever sex they are

manson is far from the only popular artist to do 'horrible' or 'astonishing' things on stage. and for all the people that dont pay money to avoid seeing those antics on stage there are as many people who go hoping to see it

manson seems on and off in interviews. he appears to be pretty damn intelligent and in a very interesting way not boring or plain bookish. but sometimes he answers questions clearly trying to be as obnoxious as he can be

id have to agree i like some of his older stuff. i may like his newer stuff but i never heard any of it

Yeah, I went to the concert when Manson came here a long time ago. The show was going to be canceled because there were not enough advanced ticket sales, then the churches started protesting the concert and it drummed up sales enough to sell out the show. It was an AWESOME show in my book. I may not agree with some of the stuff he did at the show (tearing up a bible and throwing it out on the crowd) but I definitely got my entertainment value from the price of the ticket.

His first album in 1994 was good, everything after that has been complete fucking garbage.

I'm fucking sorry but somone who gets their big break of doing a fucked up version of somone else's song is a tool....

And he's definatley milked his tool for everything its worth so to speak....

I remember buying his very first album when I was in 9th grade and thinking it was cool, sorta like a heavier nine inch nails, and then the next thing outta him was "sweet dreams" and every idiot faggot goth wannabe who had never even fucking heard his first album jumped on his bandwagon and it was all donwhill after that....

All I know is that I used to think people were saying "M&M" when they said "Eminem" and thought they were referring to Marilyn Manson.

How was me being totally out of the loop when it came to popular music "whimsical and aloof"?
