If the Rockets end up finishing off the Blazers, they will knock off the Lakers.

maybe...

Yeah I'm a huge Rockets fan and don't really see that one happening. Not that I don't wish it. I will be elated as long as they win the first round.

i hope the nuggets have improved their game vs the lakers for the conference finals, because we didn't look good at all vs. them this year.
but after last night's game i don't know what to expect from this team.

So who has the BETTER shot... mavs v nuggets, or rockets v Lakers?

(not that either is very likely)

denver wins in 5. it'll be an easy series.
dirk has never played as well matched up with kenyon martin and bird can do a good job on him with his length if martin gets in foul trouble.
chauncy and dhantay jones will have no problem with jason terry.
there's no one to guard mello and denver's bench is too deep. j.r. smith has capability to take over a game if he's making good shot selections

rockets i'm still calling to upset the lakers. it's my moron pick of the playoffs.

lakers in 6...

nah, i'm just calling out my own retarded pick of the rockets.
likely that the lakers win. i think the rockets have potential to upset.
basically undecided. lakers in 6 is a safe pick.

the mavs are being hated on hard in denver about how soft dirk and the whole team is really.

ha, my gut wanted to take the rockets.
my safe bet wants to take the lakers. i can't decide.
i just think the rockets have a good potential to upset. if they play their cards right.
utah, never had a chance in hell.

and besides, i started this thread calling for the upset.
should be a good series whatever the outcome though.
hopefully the rockets at least wear them down for the nuggets if they do win.

You called for everything practically in this thread so you had almost no chance of being wrong

You even called it again just now, after they won game one... you should be a weatherman.

If refs keep letting denver hack the shit out of the Mavs and not calling it, and calling the Mavs for NOTHING (phantom carmello fall down being a foul) then yeah, dallas will be swept.

I don't care if Mavs lose (expected it) but i wish they call shit the same for both sides.

Eh the refs are letting them get away with stuff but thats the playoffs. The mavs need to get angry, they just look like they are being slapped around out there.

Also Dirk needs better taste in women and can the Mavs go one postseason without some off the court drama.

I gotta say the Rockets still looked very good in game 2. They came back from down 15 to take the lead, and kept it reasonable the whole game, even with Kobe being on fire.

lakers in 5.

i feel for ya though. ANOTHER injury for the rockets?? and to yao nonetheless... what do they gotta do??
maybe they can get someone for tmac to help yao in the offseason.
i've been really impressed with ron artest watching this series though.

i read somewhere that the lakers are 0-5 against the rockets without yao.
i don't put much weight on all time stats for determining one series, but that's impressive.

if that's true I hope it sticks. artest & scola are the keys to tonights game, because there's no way in hell battier is going off for 20+ again. and there's also no way in hell the lakers allow brooks to go off for 30+. that should give some open looks to artest/landry and scola.

will probably had money on the lakers in game 5. which was probably a wise move, given magic's comments and the way game 4 went down.

on the topic of the nuggets, i'm really glad we lost game 5. an 8 day wait until the start of the western conf finals woulda been bordering the line of rest/rust.
