the mapquest says to go to go south at abilene. Is there a faster way? I need to get to south mo-pack and 71.

itlll take you into austin via 183 north, 183 runs to mopac which eventually hits 71 on the south side of town -------------------- only here to talk sports occationally

Goin the normal route through San Angelo may be faster for him since mopac and 71 is a ways south, and that route goes through there. Dunno.

hmm to get to georgetown i always took...
84 to sweet water..70 to 153 to 183 in brownwood... seemed to cut ...ehh...half an hour off the route through abilene |

go down 84 through post slaton to I20
maybe 10minutes of being on I20 take the exit for 70 -GAS UP HERE after 15-20 mins of driving on 70 it comes to a fork around a bunch of the wind power mills and an old house looking thing. take the left exit which is just 153. take this 153 to Coleman. you drive through this town and the 153 runs perpendicular to 84. take the left exit. stay on 84 through Brownwood and there will be a 183 South exit. 183 S will take you all the way into Austin 5.5hr trip -------------------- Little monkeys making money

i remember a long time ago, someone posted the best way to get to austin. it took like 5 and a half hours or something. everytime i go, it takes like 6 or 7, so if someone can post those directions and where there are usually a lot of cops and stuff, Iw ould really appreciate it.
