I think Tech is a good match up for Texas and that Tech has the advantage. I'm predicting a Tech win.

shit if everyone predicts tech to win, you know we'll lose!

i think we'll do well in the beginning with all hype and stuff, and then texas will come out strong on both sides of the ball.

texas 42-21

Texas is due for a loss. Tech will win by at least 15. UT will have difficulty scoring. I say the score will be something like 30-10

If Texas plays like they did against OSU then we have a chance.

I'll be there with my Longhorn wife and my Red Raider brother and Red Raider sister-in-law.

We need tickets to get into Raider Gate now?

Oh, and I'll be at Gameday, thinking up good signs as I type this.

What do you mean?

Other than the fumble inside the red zone and their inability to stop the run, UT played a great game. And not being able to stop the run doesn't really matter against Tech.

Their offense actually played great. I think they had nearly 600 yards of total offense. The only problem is their starting field position was terrible. I think they had two or three scoring drives of 90 yards or more that took several minutes each off the clock.

Where does Tech play OSU? I'd be worrying about them more than even OU. That is a damn good football team.

I'll probably go to the game. I sold my UT/OSU ticket so I have a few hundred extra bucks. Where do y'all plan on sitting/tailgating?

From what I saw, there were multiple opportunities for OSU to take advantage of UTs slow drives down the field. Had the OSU defense been better against the run and holding McCoy to just a few yards, I think the game would have gone the other way.

The game was definitely methodical and I think that's what won it for them. It just wasn't the performance I am used to from them.

It's in Lubbock. Or are you asking where they'll set up? Probably in front of the Alumni center with a backdrop of the stadium. That or one of the athletic fields with a view of the stadium. That's what they did when they came for OU and Mizzou

If Tech wins, do they jump to #1? Bama jumped to 2 after beating UGA and UT jumped to 1 after beating mobilehoma. They might end up getting screwed by playing a 1 loss OU, OSU, and unranked KU, and a Mizzou team ranked in the teens. Those teams were ranked 1, 3, and 6, and 10 (think Kansas was that high at some point) this season

What is there to do in Lubbock? I don't really know anyone there anymore. No idea where to stay. Are there any bars that allow underage drinking? I might bring a girl who's 20.

Will the hotels in lubbock have been sold out for awhile. You might be able to find something in Levelland or Slaton or Post or Plainview, but I'm thinking the closest hotels are going to be in Amarillo.

gameday is setting up in the engineering key, north of memorial circle. that should be a pretty good background with memorial circle, will rogers, and the admin building.

I'm flying in from Germany to see the game.

..... not.

Seriously though, I will take back every negative thing I have said about TTU football on here if they win this game. I have always/will always have my doubts about Harrell, but I think if we can go up early the strong home presence won't let us get complacent and be a big deterrent for Texas mounting a comeback.

If we win here I can foresee us carrying the momentum the next two games until the inevitable defeat at the hands of Baylor.

I swear to God. If we are still ranked 7th after this week, fuck the polls. We should be 3rd right after Penn State and Alabama. If we are behind ANY one- loss team, it should ONLY be Florida.

I've decided that everytime i pick tech to lose they will win

so continuing with this trend

OSU 31
Tech 28

This city is bursting at the seems... every establishment that serves food or booze is packed. I didn't go to the game and i still don't have a voice. The fox and hound was packed tonight.

And Tech will not pass penn state in the polls but we should be number three now. I don't really want to go up in the polls that much... it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of tech... let's just play one week at a time.

Side note our retarded fans COULD have cost us the game. DON'T RUSH THE FIELD UNTIL THE PLAY CLOCK EXPIRES!

Also the city streets were insane. I was driving 75 down 19th to get back to my house in south overton (to beat the crowds) Broadway, university, 19th... all lined with people celebrating in the streets, embracing strangers, giving the guns up etc. The honking was non stop for nearly 2 1/2 hours. The bars on broadway were packed... people were shooting off fireworks. Its impossible to capture the mood of the city with any words. being in this city tonight was an amazing experience.

Man .. I had the same thing happen to a bar in Austin. One drunk guy called us the n-word (I'm not even black!) and he told us to go to the parking lot if to settle it if we didn't like it. My friend and I didn't even say a word to him in the first place. But I was so angry, I just tried to keep my calm.

yeah, i watched the game in a packed theater at the alamo drafthouse. I counted 7 Tech fans. The rest were all UT. It got pretty heated but I figured the people who would beat someone up over football wouldn't be watching from a movie theater.

What an AWESOME game.

Tech played better and wanted it more. No excuses, it wasn't the officiating or anything like that, Tech was by far the better football team last night.

I've never seen a more anticlimactic game. Even when McGee scored with a minute left to play, I told everyone at my house to shut the hell up because Tech was coming back and winning. I don't think I ever said that in the six or whatever years I went there. This really is a different Texas Tech football team.

Enjoy it, Raider fans. You certainly earned and deserve it.

you thought the game was anti-climatic? the game climaxed with one second left!

Well, maybe if you're a Texas fan.

Colt is still a beast though. he did almost everything he could to win the game, his receivers were just dropping balls.

As in, I knew Tech would win the game. I knew they'd drive down the field and score with that much time left on the clock. I actually figured it would be Matt Williams, the walkon kicker who won a spot on the team (thanks Musberger, for reminding me 9605493 times over the course of last night) who would kick the winning field goal.

I like how everyone was worried when McCoy was firing them down the field for texas last touchdown and harrell answers back with firing it back

crabtree is one of the most amazing wr in ncaaf

it would satisfy me to no end to see harrell with the hiesman and crabtree with the biletnekoff (AGAIN!)

That almost interception when we had possession right before harrel threw the winning pass to crabtree scared the shit out of me

when i saw that, and the announcer first called it an interception, i threw up my hands up bc i just knew the game was over at that point. i was pissed for about 3 seconds, and then had a sigh of relief.

I was at the game and my only time on the field. That last 3 minutes took a couple of years off my life!

I was at the game and have to say that it was the craziest I've ever been too (even more crazy than the "Remember the Alamo" A&M game).

There were definitely some bad calls on both sides of the ball, but Tech played a better game and came out on top. It was the worst performance I've seen from Texas in a long time.

Yeah,

Colt McCoy's receivers could not hold on to the ball.

And that's why they call you a Bandwagoner.

Not to say I don't do the same at times.

The FUCK? I'm a bandwagonner because I gave props to Texas Tech in beating my favorite team on both sides of the ball, I didn't make excuses, and I congratulated Tech fans for the biggest win in their school history? You, sir, are a moron and you need to check up what the definition of 'bandwagon' is

Shit I thought epic said that.

Bandwagonner: Someone who switches team allegiances based on how the team is doing.

Example 1

Example 2

Example 3
(Please note the liberal use of "we" when referring to your formal school now that they're winning, unlike in the past when you made fun of people for using the same term)

If you're going to root for Tech or any other team, at least be consistent about it. Don't pretend you've been a lifelong supporter now that they're good
