I took my truck in this morning because it had a leak. Figured it was the hose to the transmission. Nope. Turns out it's the water pump, the break line hose, and something else. It's only gonna cost about $3 grand, not to mention $35 dollars a day to rent a car until Monday.
Guess I'm buying a new car next week  . I'll probably go for something gay like an '08 Camry or Civic to hold me over for a few years

Whatever they're doing requires basically tearing the truck apart and removing the engine block. If it was just a leaky hose I could have probably fixed it myself. Why don't you just get the supposed Corvette you have in Lubbock and bring it to Austin and fix the exhaust system on it?

Not that I even like Toyotas or Hondas, but everyone I've talked to who owns one has but 125K+ miles on it and never had a major problem. I know trucks don't last as long as cars, but I drive well (ask anyone including Jessica and they'll say I drive like a grandpa). There is no excuse for an automobile to be getting 7-8 MPG when the manufacturer claims 16-17. American automakers wonder why they're losing business. It takes 108 octane fuel, which means I have to get fuel additives in addition to 103 octane super premium. Oh, and it gets about as bad gas mileage as the truck. It's still possible to drive like a grandpa and get horrible gas mileage because of your driving habits. I mean, if you fluctuate speed a lot or drive city more than highway, then you're typically going to get worse.

Oh you know will is full of it... in one breath he talks about getting a $60,000 car, the next breath he can't afford to fix his truck and decides a Honda Civic is probably the way to go... And on the breath in between he talks about some Corvette he has that requires 108 octane fuel
. I'm about to go beam up to my personal spaceship, it gets 1507910571029510295810925810958 mpg.
