My birthday is coming up in a couple of days and I'm being asked what I want for gifties. What are some good games for the Wii that are out right now? We already have:
Super Mario Galaxy Metroid Prime: Corruption Mario Kart Wii Okami Kinda kicked around the idea of getting Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, or Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I'm looking for other suggestions as well. My interests trend towards RPGs and platformers. This post has been edited by Spectatrix: Jul 2 2008, 01:47 PM -------------------- |

SSBB is good, and the story mode isnt horrible, but i'd rent it to see if you like it first. Havent played Mario Kart yet, but I hear its fun. As for just good overall RPG style of game, Go for Zelda, Metroid or Galaxy. -------------------- ![]() |

Eh, not a big survival horror fan. Mmmm, personal experience says stay away from Fire Emblem on the Wii. Good story, but lotsa reading to be done, no Wiimote capabilities, and yah, it's a Tactics RPG. Lego Indiana Jones would control better on the PS2, if you ask me. Out of the three you listed, I'd say SSBB, SPM, and LoZ:TP in that order. Ones I'd personally recommend? Hmmm, Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 and 2 (I prefer 1 to 2), Wario Ware, Super Monkey Ball, and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. -------------------- ![]() |

I think we've actually got Rayman Raving Rabbids... unless we sold it back to Gamestop or something. We bought the Wii used when I couldn't find a single damn one new (in Jan/Feb) and that came with it.

yeah the lego games all have adaptive difficulty but you can turn it off and play on the 3-year old level. either way they've always been a blast. great fun with a friend.
