There's a slight possibility that I may be moving to Dallas some time in the next year or two. My job would be located downtown, just off of 45 around Crockett St (I know, suckage). What are some good areas to live?

you're not welcome here. gtfo!

(frisco/colony has a lotta cheap but very nice stuffs right now, but it's far away from everything in dallas, plano is rather expensive, but definately has a few things to look into. If you don't mind the local drug dealers in the complex, who usually don't cause any trouble, Celery Stalks apartments off of arapaho and hillcrest in dallas aren't bad or pricey.

I just read the thing about 45, thats like waaay on the other side of dallas, yeah, can't help you with that one. I'm a plano bitch)

I would say look somewhere around the uptown area, it may be kind of pricey though. Addison is another good area, lots of stuff to do around there.

go to google and type in "dallas apt guide" and then click on a site. Most sites will ask you to select an area which is nice. Then, start researching and calling places. thats what i did for my place I just got in Austin.

Yes I have heard of this "google" before and use it well smile.gif

I made the post to get people's opinions who've lived there. And what's nice around that area.

you're not going to find anywhere decently priced by downtown, and you're going to have to live at least an hour away to find decent priced housing

you my friend are screwed big time, i would find another job if they're forcing you to work downtown

ive thought of egg donation as well. drawbacks are they pump you full of hormones so your body produces more eggs than it normally would. that means mood swings, overly emotional, some discomfort and of course being pumped full of hormones. some places allow you to sign a waiver that says you give any child that may be born from your donated eggs permission to contact you when they turn 18 while still maintaining no financial responsibility. im sure they do bloodscreens as to rule out HIV but what i dont know is if theyd still allow you to donate eggs if you've lived overseas or in Africa. which sucks

If you are looking to buy a house thats less expensive the i would suggest garland/mesquite near I-30. The commute isn't as bad as 75 from the north and the houses are lower priced. The area isnt as nice but it isnt bad.

I love college sports more, so it'll all be gravy when I *hopefully* move there in around 16 or so months.
Plus Austin has some good bjj/MMA schools.

do you realize how painful that procedure is? Plus there are all of the hormones they give you which have tremendous side affects during and after the actual ordeal. My research advisor does egg transplants and he's told horror stories of the stuff his patients go through.

do you realize how painful that procedure is? Plus there are all of the hormones they give you which have tremendous side affects during and after the actual ordeal. My research advisor does egg transplants and he's told horror stories of the stuff his patients go through.

yeah, but its $2500.... PER EGG and the place I was looking at allows up to 8 procedures to be done. Thats a lot of money. The pain might be worth it.
