I already have one, I just got another.
How do I run both and add music to each separately without the software getting confused and continually wiping one or the other clean? -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

i think you have to tell itunes that you want to manage your ipod "manually." don't do the "sync" option or whatever.

It won't really be an issue in a few days.
Something tells me I'll be using an 80 gb Ipod more than a 2 gb Nano I'll just pray the battery lasts long enough in the old one so I can work out and run tonight to the tune of Menudo -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

You shouldn't have any problem plugging them (one at a time) and being able to put music on both.
Or do you already have music from another place on one of them. You can create a "running" playlist and just make the settings such that that music is the only music that gets copied to the 2GB. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

OK, does anyone know a good free video conversion program for the video Ipod, other than Itunes? It's gonna take like 12 hours to convert one two hour movie.
Only other one I can find is Videora, which I'm waiting to finish downloading -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

I have something I need to admit:
I've fallen for the Zune. My girlfriend and her sister each got one of the 1st gen 30GBs for $90 off of Woot, and they're pretty much totally fucking badass. The wireless syncing has to be the coolest feature by far (available in the latest firmware update) -- She just leaves it in her car (charging) and syncs it when she parks in front of the house. Add to that the nifty "twist" interface and the huge fucking screen, and I like the little fuckers. I'm probably going to get one of the new 80GB 2nd-Gen ones sometime this winter. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

well, they're moving out all the old ones so the newer ones are more likely to sell.
I'd be tempted to get one of the old ones if A) I had less than 30gb of music and B) I was comfortable with last-gen tech. me no cannae do it. edit: fucking smilies. I even made a mental note to disable them and still forgot. This post has been edited by zetec: Dec 3 2007, 07:17 PM -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

You can also try: http://zamzar.com/url/
to create iPod videos. And there is iPodifier: http://ipodifier.com/download.html -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

You can also try: http://zamzar.com/url/ to create iPod videos. And there is iPodifier: http://ipodifier.com/download.html I tried the Ipodifier. Program downloaded and I followed the steps and it never started converting. Whatever. The Zamzar thing looks like it would work well for Youtube videos. I can wait till my friend gets back from college. He has Quicktime Pro. One other problem....I added one movie, The Departed, without issue (other than it taking 14 fucking hours to convert). The other movies I have can't even be added to Itunes. Anything that says "Movie File" can be added, while anything that says "Video Clip" can not. I don't think the type of video (WMP, Quicktime, etc) has anything to do with it. Is there any way to convert them from video clips to movie files? -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
