Seems the air quality is bad. Really bad.

i have some friends teaching in china now, and they tell me that it'll be fine by next summer for the olympics. the chinese gov't has already said they're gonna use artificial precipitation to control the weather, and to get rid of a lot of pollution.

also, they've already made a lot of advances in the past year or two to cut their pollution in factories and stuff.

i was there last summer and it wasn't as bad as i thought it'd be. i'm gonna try to go for the track and field sports.

Well the report points out the problems. Heavy particulates and ozone. Ozone isn't tracked and the heavy particulates monitored are only 10 micrometers in size instead of the 2.5 micrometers the U.S. uses to judge air quality. The 2.5 sized particulates are much more dangerous as they get deeper into the lungs.
