I have some vacation left that I probably won't use till the very end of the year.

I am thinking of planning a vacation from 12/26-12/31. I don't want to go skiing and I'd prefer to go somewhere with public transportation.

Suggestions? My first thought was London, but I am not sure if I want to do that.

ok you don't want to ski...that narrows it down to one place.

that week of the year...there is no radder place than NYC. if you could bottle the good vibes and energy of the holiday season in manhattan, we wouldn't need oil...

I was thinking Boston but I am a little worried about getting snowed in.

The reason I was thinking London was because BusinessFirst tickets from IAH-LGW are $1740, which is great compared to the $5,000 they usually are.

Alright, I've narrowed my choices: Amsterdam, NYC, Boston, or Frankfurt.

I was thinking Buenos Aires or Sau Paulo but it will be summer down there (tourist season).

I've always wanted to go to Montreal, I think that would be pretty cool.
...and for something completely different, try Iceland. A few of my friends went there a couple of years back over christmas vacation and said it was pretty cool. You could stay in an ice hotel like James Bond too!!!1

I've had my fill of the far east and the middle east for a while. Plus, I'd basically lose two days getting there.
