We dominated the Native Americans. If the Mexicans want to get frisky and think they can dominate us, then by all fucking means, try it, otherwise, tough shit. We stopped being a nation of immigrants generations ago.

is it not a bit anti-capitalistic (if not socialistic) to disrupt the economic benefit of illegal immigrants?

we need to build robots to replace illegal work forces.

interestingly, indian reservations that have land on the border have sovereignty and are allowed to vote (usually the vote of the tribal council) on any new border policy that would directly affect their land. (such as the building of a fence etc.).
obviously the border is still patrolled on reservations. (they pulled us over).

a lot of people die of dehydration when they cross the border in these areas, as they are desolate.

the o'odham are voting on a resolution to put up large water tower-ish dispensers with an agreement from the border patrol not to camp there, in order to lower the "human cost".

Or the states could follow the model that's already out there and provide prisoners as cheap labor.

And no water towers, if they manage to make it across the desert on their own, they can stay a few days until we deport them and let them try again. If they don't make it, consider it us giving back to the environment - feeding the vultures smile.gif

the simple, painful truth is...this has to stop.

what other country rewards those who break the law by entering their country illegally by taking care of them medically and financially, and giving their kids birthright citizenship and education?

name one.

as americans, we are programmed to altruism and everyone deserves a fair chance. but damn...this is the 21st century people. different world.

I know I am sick and damn tired of paying taxes so some lawbreakers can afford to go to the same schools our kids. and then WE have to dial "1" for english...fuck that.

I have a couple hispanic friends who agree with me...they're free and clear and served the mil, have no accents, and are definitely american. sucks, but they admit got here in time...

this isn't 30 years ago anymore...20 million illegals isn't immigration. It's an invasion.

it's not "anti-capitalistic" or socialistic to protect your borders. we have enough immigrants as it is. it's not f'n socialism to have some 16 yr old punk mow your yard instead of a mexican that's here illegally.

From what I can tell they are dominating us, because people in this country are pussies nowadays.

as for the prison thing, james
prisons can barely get by using the prisoners to run the low-level jobs at the prison.
i doubt they can spare many for robot jobs.

and impala, "protecting our borders. . . " (etc.) I was specifically referring to the economic dangers of removing a group of people who work for so cheaply.

You mean the prisons that have managed to spare prisoners in Colorado and Arizona?

The prison population must be a lot bigger than you think.

i was talking about the prison that i work at in texas . . .
i mean they grow a few crops but all the texas prisons combined could not produce enough for one city the size of lubbock. only the trustees are even allowed outside and you pretty much have to have a completely clean record from the time that you enter the prison to be a trustee, which is obviously a small minority.
the only way to increase this "workforce" would be to lower the requirement for such privileges, which would most likely be more complicated and harmful in the long term.

I have to disagree with you on this. While I've never worked at a prison in my entire life, my parents were officers there (mom an Assistant Warden before she retired) and I've seen more than just "trustees" go out on the field to work. With minimum security prisons, there are no such things as "trustees" anyway. Or the Substance Abuse facilities for that matter. Or the psych unit. But, whatever, it could have changed recently.

United States immigration is kinda funny... I don't really understand those people at the INS sometimes. I was recently talking to a family friend, who tried to get his parents to this country for a regular 6 months long visit. After many interviews with the visa officials, they were denied entry. So the son who is here, said screw this, I'll get them green cards, and he did it with ease. I am like wtf, now not only can his parents stay in this country for as long as they like, which adds more burden to this country, they can come and leave as they wish. Where as with a visitation visa, they'd have to leave after 6 months or apply for extended stay, and if they they leave, they'd have to apply for reentry... makes no sense man.

Visitation visa - resources have to be spent looking for them if they don't leave when it expires.

Green card - they're here to stay, so what; makes us look nice.

With a green card, can you come and go as you please? Or do you have to be in the US for a certain amount of time each year?

2 weeks/year

the point of giving someone a visitation visa is so that they don't stay for extended periods of time... if the attitude is to "make us look nice", you might as well hand out green cards when people apply for a visa, sure makes thing easier...
