They are actually crazy enough to attempt to control the weather... -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

i saw something on the discovery channel a while back, they got some substance for hurricanes that bonds to the water molecules in the clouds and brings them down, which then forms a skin over the surface of the water underneath the hurricane, and cools the water, keeping the hurricane from growing or even killing it altogether. pretty interesting stuff.

The U.S. has been doing this since the 50s/60s with project rainbow. The Chinese are where the U.S. was 60-70 years ago. If you think what the Chinese are doing with the weather is interesting then you'd really think what the U.S. is doing with HAARP (high-frequency active auroral research program) and their electromagnetic manipulation of the weather is interesting.

Low level electromagnetic stuff is one thing... haphazardly blowing missiles up in mid-air is completely different.

The first link that pops up for me on google is the HAARP homepage, you fucking idiot. http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Frequenc...esearch_Program |

I did look at the main site and the wikipedia page. It's nothing more than simple atmospheric research. The claims of it's abilities as weather modification (which you claimed) or weapons are on the conspiracy website (shocker).
from the wikipedia QUOTE In September 1995, a book entitled Angels Don't Play This HAARP: Advances in Tesla Technology by the former teacher Nick Begich, Jr., son of the late Congressman Nick Begich, claimed that the project in its present stage could be used for "geophysical warfare". The HAARP has subsequently become a target for those who have suggested that it could be used to test the ability "to deliver very large amount of energy, comparable to a nuclear bomb, anywhere on earth", changing weather patterns, blocking all global communications, disrupting human mental processes and mind control, causing earthquakes, and "x-raying" the earth. These claims are generally disregarded by scientists and those involved with the project as being completely baseless. go put your foil hat on though it'll make ya feel better (if calling me a fucking idiot doesn't already) |

And something else... If China is so far behind in missile technology then shouldn't we be more worried of them doing something like this?
