so apple has the color blue copyrighted now? i'm surprised the mac freaks didn't bitch about the blue lines that go up and down looking like curtains or something being copied too.

MS's is a little darker and has more of a glowing in a glass effect instead of the just the glass effect like Apple

well i think the main coincidence is more in the fact that commonly used blending filters will do the same types of effects. most graphic artists will use photoshop or something simliar, and any gradients or alpha blending they do will end up looking the same. and shades of blue/white are used everywhere in computer software. hell just look at this message board... blues everywhere. and having two intertwined products, if one was directed to come up with some kinda graphic to represent that... it wouldn't be too difficult to arrive at something like a yin yang.
