I am going to be in Denver from Sunday, June 17 till Friday, June 22. I usually have a 2 day trip up there but this is a longer session with a new client...

What is there to do in this city? Anyone going to be there during those times?

Isn't Dogmeat or someone in Denver?

Who does Dogmeat work for? I may be at his refinery.

go to lodo or 16th street, lots of cool restaurants and good beer. the breckenridge brewery is down there, i'm sure dauss knows of more places.

there's always the normal tourist stuff, but if you could get some time to go to ft. collins or boulder, definitely do it.

boulder has all kinds of crazy hippie stuff and good restaurants. ft. collins has the new belgium brewery and a couple other smaller ones. lots of outdoor activities, you just have to find them.

Go bar hopping in LoDo, go hand out in the mountains, you can basically do whatever you want there.

A co-worker and I will be sharing a car so I'm probably going to take a cab to most places. The refinery itself is in Commerce City, CO (just north east of downtown Denver, where the old airport used to be) and I think the hotel is close by. Shouldn't be too expensive of a cab ride into downtown.

hey dont hate on the Rox, they are at least decent this year.

LoDo is fun and then there are the Microbreweries.

You should definately check out Great Divide brewery, they are located near Coors field and they have some of the best beer I have drank. Another one I recommend is Breckenridge.

If you havent been to Boulder its not too far and its a pretty cool college town. There are also the mountains and parks that aren't too far. The views from some of them are pretty impressive.

I envy you, I love Denver and hopefully i'll make it back some day to live there.

Dude colorado is too fucking crowded to anyone that isn't from fucking california or the east coast or DFW, I'll put it that way.

Colorado has a lot of neat things about it but I swear to god that state is more full of fucking douche bags per capita than any other place I've ever been except maybe southern california

I get into DEN around 8:20pm MST...

I don't know if I'll be in the mood for a beer though, I found out I may be going to Lagos, Nigeria in August... *shudder*

I'll be gone before then, but Nigeria is probably one of the most stable countries in Africa. I have several friends from there.

Well, I know for certain that I was at the same refinery as Dogmeat now as it is the only one in Colorado wink.gif (well, it used to be two different ones but it got merged).

Interestingly enough, their feed stock here is partially tar sands coming from Canada.

The refinery folks and I got into a discussion about the moving of refineries to the Middle East since the cost of producing there is much lower than producing here. I'm having fun. LoDo tonight.

Well, I am going to be in Denver again next week and my girlfriend is flying up for the 4th. We are going to head down to Colo Springs on the 3rd, visit Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods then head back to Denver and probably visit a few microbreweries and watch the fireworks.
