This may be a stupid question, but I'm a relatively dumb as far as car things go, so humor me.
Long story short, someone moved my truck while it was in park. I was not there and it was locked, so I'm assuming they either drug it or pushed it to move it. There were tire marks on the pavement from the beginning location to the ending location. It was probably a 10-12 yard distance--I was too pissed off so I'm just guessing that's how far it was. Now, what damage could this and would this have done to my truck. I'm guessing it couldn't have been good for my transmission... help...please |

somebody kept moving Will's truck everytime he stayed the night with me at Lynnwood. It got so bad that he didnt even want to stay over with me anymore. We couldn't figure out how the hell it had been done because he only had one key to his truck and it was with us in my room. He lost his spare set 3 years ago. Well, come to find out, those keys he had lost a while back were in the couch of his friend and his friend ended up moving right across the street from me at Lynnwood. They found Will's keys in the couch cushions one night. So him and his friends were moving Will's truck every night. Funny stuff

What kind of truck do you have?
The reason I ask is because I am wondering how they moved it. If it was moved by being pushed by another truck then I'd definitely take it in and have the tires looked at. The damage to the transmission depends on a couple of things, is it a standard or automatic? If it is a standard, was it still in park when you got in? On most vehicles you can "shift" the vehicle (even if it's an automatic) from underneath by manipulating a lever. If it's a smaller truck (Ranger, etc.) or a Jeep then they could have easily (with four people) picked it up and moved it. We used to do that in high school to a baseball teammate. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |
